Order Rewards Configuration

Author: Rijoy Team
Published: 2026/01/13

Feature Description

The Order Rewards Configuration module is used to set up points distribution rules related to orders, including the timing of points issuance and the rules for reclaiming points when orders are abnormal. It helps merchants:

  • Flexibly control the points distribution node to match the store's order fulfillment process
  • Avoid points loss after order cancellation/refund and ensure the fairness of the points system
  • Standardize the points distribution logic and reduce manual reconciliation costs

Note: Non-order-related points (such as birthday and registration points) are credited immediately by default and are not applicable to this module's configuration.

Operation Path

Order Rewards Configuration

  1. Access the Rijoy:AI Loyalty Rewards App and click on the Settings menu
  2. On the Settings page, find and click the Order rewards configuration module to enter the configuration page

Core Configuration Items Explanation

1. Reward Distribution (Points Issuance Timing Setting)

Used to set when order-related points are credited to users' accounts, supporting two configuration modes (single choice, select one):

(1) Earn rewards by order status (Distribute by Order Status)

Trigger points crediting based on the order fulfillment status, supporting multiple selections from the following options (you can check one or more):

  • Paid: Points are credited immediately after the order is paid successfully
  • Fulfilled: Points are credited automatically after the entire order is shipped
  • Partially fulfilled: Points are credited immediately after part of the order is shipped

(2) Delay Reward Release (Delayed Issuance)

Set to delay points issuance by a specified number of days after the order is paid successfully:

  • Enter the specific number of delay days in the corresponding input box (e.g., 3 days, 7 days)
  • During the delay period, the points status in the user's account is displayed as "Coming soon"
  • After the set number of days, the points are automatically converted to available status

General Note: Before the set points issuance conditions are met, the points are in the "Coming soon" status and will be activated automatically once the conditions are satisfied.

2. Cancel Rewards (Points Reclamation Rule Setting)

Used to set that the system automatically reclaims issued order points when the order is abnormal, supporting multiple selections from the following options (you can check one or more):

  • Canceled: When the order is canceled, all issued points for the order are automatically deducted
  • Refunded: When the order is fully refunded, all issued points for the order are automatically deducted
  • Partially refunded: When the order is partially refunded, all issued points for the order are automatically deducted

Special Note: If the points have been used by the user (e.g., for consumption deduction, redemption of benefits), the system will still deduct all points corresponding to the order when the order is subsequently canceled/refunded, which may result in a negative user points balance.

💡 Configuration Recommendations

1. Selection of Points Issuance Timing

  • If the store has a short shipping cycle and low after-sales rate, it is recommended to select "Paid" to enhance user stickiness through instant incentives
  • If the store operates in pre-order mode or has a long shipping cycle, it is recommended to select "Fulfilled" or "Delay Reward Release" (e.g., delay by 3-7 days) to reduce points loss caused by order cancellation
  • If partial shipping is supported (e.g., multi-product orders shipped in batches), you can check "Partially fulfilled" to release part of the points in advance to incentivize users
  • When distributing by order status, you can check multiple options in combination (e.g., check both "Paid" and "Fulfilled" to issue points when either status is met)

2. Selection of Points Reclamation Rules

  • It is recommended to check all three options (Canceled/Refunded/Partially refunded) by default to fully cover abnormal order scenarios and avoid points loss
  • If the store has special after-sales policies (e.g., no points reclamation for partial refunds), you can selectively check according to actual needs

💡 Notes

  • The configuration mode is "single choice": "Distribute by Order Status" and "Delayed Issuance" cannot be selected at the same time; please choose one according to business needs
  • The points issuance timing only applies to "order-related points"; non-order-related points (such as birthday and registration points) are not affected by this configuration
  • After modifying the configuration, you need to click the save button on the page for the new rules to take effect. Once effective, they will apply to all newly created orders
  • Points reclamation is automatically executed by the system without manual intervention. If the user's points balance is negative, the points obtained subsequently will be used to offset the negative balance first
