Automatic signup points reward for first-time store account registrations incentivizes new users, improves account creation conversion rates, and builds the foundation for membership programs.
Feature Overview
The "Signup" rule automatically grants a one-time points reward when a customer successfully creates an account.
This rule helps you:
- Encourage visitors to sign up
- Increase account creation rates
- Build a foundation for future loyalty engagement
Signup rewards act as acquisition incentives in your loyalty program.
How It Works
- Points are issued when a customer registers for the first time
- Each customer can earn signup points only once
- Only one signup earning rule can be created
- Applies to all new customers, regardless of VIP level
Setup Path
Method 1: Create with AI Sidekick(Loyalty AI)

- Click Loyalty AI in the bottom-right corner of any page in the App to open the AI chat panel
- Enter a command in the input box, for example:
“Give points to new users when registering a store.”
- The AI will automatically understand your request and generate a corresponding sign-up points earning rule based on your store’s context
- Click the Preview & Edit button
- The system will automatically navigate to and pre-fill the Signup rule configuration page
- Review and adjust the settings as needed, then click Save to activate the rule
Method 2: Create Manually

- Go to the App and click Points in the left-hand menu
- Switch to the Points Rules tab
- In the Ways to earn section, click Add Ways to earn
- Select Signup from the modal
- Complete the rule configuration and save your changes
Configuration Details
1. Action Name
- Displayed on the Rewards Panel and Loyalty Page
- Example names:
Sign up & earn pointsCreate an account and get rewarded
2. Earning Value
- Points granted after successful signup
- Positive integers only (e.g. 100, 150, 200)
Tip:
- Signup rewards should be lower than purchase or birthday rewards
3. Status
- Active: Rule is visible and active
- Disabled: Rule is hidden and inactive
4. Icon
- Default icons available
- Custom upload:
- 1:1 ratio
- ≤ 50KB
- Supported formats: png, jpg, jpeg, svg, gif, webp
Definition of a New Customer
A new customer is defined as:
- A consumer who has never logged into a store account
- Includes guest customers who have placed orders but never registered
Once a customer completes their first account registration, they are eligible for signup points.
Frontend Display
When enabled:
- The signup rule appears on the Rewards Panel and Loyalty Page
- Unregistered visitors are prompted to sign up to earn points
💡 Important Notes
1. First Signup Only
- Each customer can receive signup points once
- Repeated signups or logins will not trigger additional rewards
2. No VIP Differentiation
- Signup rewards are the same for all new customers
3. Best Practices
- Combine signup rewards with:
- Order-based rewards
- Referral incentives for a complete acquisition funnel
