VIP Tier
VIP Tier
VIP Tiers allow you to automatically categorize users into different membership levels based on their behavior in the store (such as spending, number of orders, points earned), and assign differentiated point rewards and exclusive benefits to each level.
By using VIP Tiers, you can:
- Encourage users to keep purchasing and progress through tiers
- Provide higher rewards for high-value customers
- Build a long-term, scalable membership system
Important Notes Before Enabling
- The VIP system is disabled by default
- Once activated:
- The VIP status switch will be locked
- It cannot be turned off or reset afterwards
- Please confirm your tier structure and rules before enabling

How It Works
1. Default Tier Structure
After the app is installed, 3 VIP levels are preset:
| Level | Default Name | Default Upgrade Condition (Order Amount) |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.1 | Bronze | 0 |
| Lv.2 | Silver | 500 |
| Lv.3 | Gold | 1000 |
Notes:
- Bronze cannot be deleted
- Bronze's status and upgrade conditions cannot be changed (other settings can be modified)
- Other levels can be customized
2. Tier Status Rules
- Each VIP tier can be independently Enabled (Active) or Disabled
- Disabled tiers:
- Will not be shown in the frontend
- Will not be considered for future tier upgrades
Membership Handling When a Tier is Disabled
| Scenario | Example |
|---|---|
| Tier Disabled | Merchant sets "Silver" tier to Disabled |
| Current Members | 100 members currently belong to Silver |
| Immediate Effect | The 100 members' tier does not change immediately |
| No New Activity | Tier remains Silver |
| Member Activity Occurs | Member places an order / redeems points for rewards |
| Recalculation | System ignores Silver and recalculates based on active tiers |
| Final Result | Member is updated to the appropriate active VIP tier |
📌 Note:
Disabled tiers do not take effect immediately; updates occur only when the member performs an action that triggers tier recalculation.
3. New User Tier Determination Logic
When a new user logs in for the first time or triggers an eligible action, the system automatically assigns a tier based on configured rules.
| Scenario | System Behavior | Example |
|---|---|---|
| New user logs in with no triggered actions | Tier remains empty | User A registers but does not place orders or earn points → Tier remains empty |
| "Earn points on signup" rule enabled | Registration triggers points → tier assigned as Bronze | User B registers and earns 100 points → Tier automatically set to Bronze |
| Signup points not configured, user has no orders | Tier remains empty | User C registers but does not earn points → Tier stays empty |
| Special case: inactive users perform actions | System recalculates tier based on active rules | User D previously inactive, places order and earns points → Tier updated, e.g., Bronze or Silver |

Modifying Existing VIP Tiers via AI Sidekick
Loyalty AI can also optimize existing VIP tier configurations.
Steps

- Open Loyalty AI
- Enter modification instructions, for example:
“Modify all current level configurations based on store product and user data.”
- AI will generate suggested adjustments based on current tier settings
- Click Preview & Edit
- The system will navigate to the corresponding VIP tier configuration page
- Merchant reviews changes and clicks Save
AI does not directly modify live configurations; all changes require merchant confirmation.
Configuration Details
1. Tier Name
- Displayed on the member panel and loyalty page
- Must be unique
- Supports multi-language
2. Target Conditions
Defines the threshold a member must meet to reach a tier.
Condition types are globally set (Level Conditions).
Examples:
- Spend ≥ $600
- Orders ≥ 10
- Points ≥ 5,000
3. Tier-specific Points Reward
Allows a VIP tier to have exclusive order points rules.
If no tier-specific rule is configured, the member will follow the base order points rule

Activation

Supported Earning Types
- Points per currency unit (Increments of points): up to 2 decimals, proportional to spending
- Fixed points per order: positive integers only, fixed points per order
4. Tier-specific Discount Rewards
Members of this tier can enjoy exclusive discounts automatically.

Supported discount types:
- Product Discount
- Order Discount
- Free Shipping
Notes:
- Only one discount per type is allowed
- Discounts are applied automatically when conditions are met
5. Tier Status
- Active: Visible and members can upgrade / enjoy benefits

6. Icon
Used to display tier visually on the frontend.

.png .jpg .jpeg .svg .gif .webp
Level Conditions
Global condition types for VIP tier upgrades:
- Order Amount: cumulative spending
- Order Count: cumulative number of orders
- Points Sum: cumulative points earned

Once set, all VIP tiers’ target conditions follow this condition type.
Condition Switching & Auto Conversion Rules
When changing the condition type, the system automatically recalculates existing target values:
- Existing tiers are not deleted
- Original target values are cleared or recalculated
- Merchant must verify thresholds after conversion
⚠️ Recommended to confirm condition type early in VIP setup to avoid frequent changes.
Common Recommendations
- Keep the number of tiers between 3–5
- Ensure clear differences between tiers
- Combine high-tier points multiplier with exclusive discounts
- Regularly optimize tier structure using AI to match business growth
Notes
- Once VIP is enabled, it cannot be disabled
- Use tier-specific order points to differentiate rewards
- Set tier thresholds appropriately to avoid clustering
