Place an order to earn points: Core membership feature where customers automatically earn points after successful orders. Configure flexible rules to boost conversion, AOV and repurchase rates.

Feature Overview

The "Place an Order" rule allows customers to automatically earn points after completing an order.
This is the core earning method in your loyalty program.

It helps you:

  • Increase conversion rates
  • Boost average order value
  • Encourage repeat purchases

How It Works

  • Points are issued automatically once an order is successfully created
  • Each store can create only one base order earning rule
  • If a VIP level has its own order earning rule, it will override the base rule
  • If no VIP-specific rule is set, all customers follow the base rule

Setup Path

Method 1: Create with AI Sidekick (Loyalty AI)

AI creates order placement rules

  1. Click Loyalty AI in the bottom-right corner of any page in the App to open the AI chat panel
  2. Enter a command in the input box, for example:

    “Create a rule to earn points when placing an order.”

  3. The AI will automatically understand your request and generate a corresponding order-based points earning rule based on your store’s context
  4. Click the Preview & Edit button
  5. The system will automatically navigate to and pre-fill the Place an order rule configuration page
  6. Review and adjust the settings as needed, then click Save to activate the rule

Method 2: Create Manually

Place an order

  1. Go to the App and click Points in the left-hand menu
  2. Switch to the Points Rules tab
  3. In the Ways to earn section, click Add Ways to earn
  4. Select Place an order from the modal
  5. Complete the rule configuration and save your changes

Configuration Details

1. Action Name

  • Displayed on the Rewards Panel and Loyalty Page
  • Use clear, customer-friendly names

2. Earning Type

Choose one of the following:

(1) Increments of points

  • Supports up to 2 decimal places
  • Earn points based on spending amount

Example:

  • 1 point per $1 → Spend $100, earn 100 points

(2) Fixed amount of points

  • Positive integers only
  • Earn the same number of points per order, regardless of order value

Example:

  • Set to 100
  • Earn a fixed 100 points per order, regardless of the order amount

3. Status

  • Active: Rule is visible and active
  • Disabled: Rule is hidden and inactive

4. Icon

  • Default icons provided
  • Custom upload:
    • 1:1 ratio
    • ≤ 50KB
    • Supported formats: png, jpg, jpeg, svg, gif, webp

Frontend Display

Visible on:

  • Rewards Panel
  • Loyalty Page

💡 Notes

  • Only one base order earning rule is allowed
  • Configure VIP-specific rewards in the VIP Tier section
